Key Responsibilities for Night RT Role in Zion, IL

As a Night Respiratory Therapist, you will be essential to delivering exceptional respiratory care. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive respiratory assessments to design and implement tailored care plans.
• Administering respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed and adhering to hospital protocols.
• Monitoring patient progress and maintaining detailed documentation to support effective care transitions.
• Collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure cohesive and holistic patient care.
• Providing education to patients and families regarding respiratory care and management strategies.
• Strictly following safety and infection control standards during all respiratory care activities.

Qualifications for the 13-Week Night RT Contract

Three (3) years' experience REQUIRED. First time traveler OK. On call required ~1x per mo and as needed based on staffing needs. Weekends every 3/4 weeks. Olive green scrubs required (not provided).

Certifications REQUIRED: ACLS, BLS, RRT

Skills/Experience REQUIRED: Adult Critical Care; Emergency Department; Basic EKG

Skills/Experience Preferred: Ventilator Management (BiPAP, Flow-by, CPAP, High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator, IMV (intermittent Mandatory Ventilation), Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation)
